Who We Are
JUDY WALLACE
Housing Resource Advisor
Judy began her career in healthcare in 1987 as Community Relations Representative for Charter Winds Healthcare part of Charter Behavioral Health, the largest behavioral health company in the world. At Charter Winds Healthcare, she was responsible for sales and referral communications throughout northeast Georgia.
In 1996 she was promoted to Director of Business Development at Charter Winds and continued in that position until January 2000 when the company went out of business. Shortly afterwards Judy was offered an opportunity to work internationally for a small behavioral health consulting company that formed after Charter’s demise.
Her first consulting job was with a large private behavioral health care organization in Melbourne, Australia where she developed a marketing system based on customer service and professional relations. She and her husband lived in Melbourne for four months and consider it a highlight in their long marriage.
After Melbourne, Judy consulted in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for another private behavioral health company where she developed a referral communications process that brought significant growth to both health care systems. She was fortunate to be in Malaysia when the government was re-writing mental health laws for the first time since 1954 and she saw positive changes in the treatment of those people suffering with mental illness.
Due to the changes taking place worldwide, Judy wanted to be closer to home. She and Kathleen started Home To Home as a result of her personal family experience, which has given them insight into the issues families face when considering a move into senior housing. With the aging population and the baby boomers on the verge of retirement, Judy and Kathleen realize that they are providing a valuable service for busy, working families and have been pleased with the response they have received.
